Just JP’s Chevron Lip Fabric

For the finale of local drag competition Boston Drag Gauntlet, I collaborated with drag queen Just JP to create a look celebrating their signature drag style; specifically their chevron style lipstick. The lips incorporate the colors of the Progress Pride flag and were illustrated using both watercolor and digital tools before being printed on fabric. In order to get the lip shape right I used photos of JP’s actual lips when drawing them. The final look was a strapless dress with matching undies and boot covers.
